SHORTAGE OF EGGS
Dominion Distributors, Ltd., reports on the local egg market as follows:— Egg market very firm with a temporary shortage of supplies. Most merchants and many shopkeepers are without eggs today. The shortage has a natural tendency to increase the demand. It is anticipated that supplies will gradually increase, although incubating is absorbing a fair quantity of eggs at the present time. The wholesale prices for eggs on the Wellington market today were unchanged on those of last week as follows: —Specials, 2s 7d per dozen; <A grade, 2s sd; B grade, 2s 3d; ducks, 2s sd. . Dominion Distribtuors' pay-out for last week's eggs will be: —Specials, 2s 7d a dozen; A grade, 2s sd; B grade, 2s 3d; ducks; 2s sd. ■ : .
