The Prime Minister .(the 'Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage), who. was confined to his home with influenza 4unng last week, returned to his office today and presided over a meeting of Cabinet. The Right Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, Bishop, of Wellington, was due to arrive in England last Wednesday on his health-recruiting trip. The Yen. Archdeacon W. Bullock, who is.administering the affairs of the diocese during Bishop Holland's1 absence, had a card from Panama- ifbni his Lordship, who stated' that he was enjoying the voyage very much. Mr. G". H. Meadmore, M.8.E., who has been appointed Commissioner for the United Kingdom at the Centennial Exhibition by the pefrartment of Overseas Trade, is on his*way out by the Orama, arriving early in August. He will remain in New Zealand for nine months. '■. 0 .....-.. Mr. George Robey, the* famous comedian, may visit New Zealand next March. He is now on his way to Australia, where he will tour from August until November, when he goes to South Africa. He intends to return to Australia early next year and then continue on to New Zealand.. Mr. H. N. Avery, who was recently transferred from the Hastings branch of the National Bank of New Zealand to Masterton, has resigned from the bank to take up a position with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in Wellington. . .. Mr. G. H. Cain, of the-staff of the Sudan United Mission, arrived at Auckland by the Awatea on Saturday to spend a holiday in New Zealand. Mr. Cain was formerly associated' with mission work in Abyssinia until about two years ago, when he was forced to leave the country and work, in\the Upper Sudan., . . -~;j i . Professor H.
