ANNUAL CONFERENCE
GUARANTEED PRICES
The annual conference of the New Zealand Farmers' Union is to be opened in Wellington on, July 11 by fee Minister of 'Agriculture (the Hon. W. L. Martin). The Dominion president, Mr; W. W. Mulholland, will preside. , ' •. >
According to a preliminary survey, the main discussion will probably centre around guaranteed prices and, to a less degree, compulsory unionism.
Several remits should result in a good deal of discussion. There are a number of hardy annuals, such as those dealing with the lifting of the stock embargo, compulsory testing for tuberculosis, the establishment of a State lottery, and the system of user-payment for roads. ■'/
The conference is expected to last three days. ' ;
