The twenty-third annual meeting of the New Zealand Co-operative Bennet Co., Ltd., was held in Wellington on Wednesday when there was a good attendance of shareholders from all parts of New Zealand. The annual report stated: "New Zealand cheese rennet has been used during the past season for 99.5 per cent, of the Dominion make of cheese and New Zealand cheese colour for approximately 90 per cent, of the requirements of companies." Sales of rennet for household use had again increased. All these products are being sold to the Australian market. Sales of Renco Stock lick and Elthamol Veterinary ointment have also increased in these districts where shareholding companies had given their services as distributors to their suppliers. "Valuable work had been done by the scientific staff during the year and the directors had decided to purchase a farm to give the necessary facilities for more complete study of problems connected with the use of rennet and colour in the manufacture of cheese."

Considerable discussion centred around the decision to purchase a farm and after ah explanation had been given by the chairman (Mr. Murdoch) the motion for the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, was put and carried. ' •

Mr. H. A. Lennan was re-elected auditor and at a subsequent meeting of'directors Mr. J. B. Murdoch was re-elected chairman.
