SIX HOTEL FIRES

LONDON, May 20,

Three hotel fires occurred in Lancashire yesterday, one in Yorkshire, one at Eastbourne, and one at Margate. It is believed that they were started bymembers of the I.R.A.

In each case men booked rooms, in which they left suitcases, and disappeared, after which fires broke out. The police discovered paraffin and explosives.

A bomb which was placed on a footpath blew" out the windows of a house near the centre of the city. The tenants escaped injury.
