WESTERN DEFENCES

BERLIN, May 19.
Herr Hitler concluded his inspection of the western frontier and issued the following order of the day:—
"My inspection has convinced me of the impregnability of the western defences, and I thank all who have created in the shortest possible time this basis of German security."
