DRUMMOND CUP

GAME AGAINST NAVY

Arrangements for the playing of the Drummond Cup competition were discussed at last week's meeting of the Control Board of the Auckland Football Association. This cup, presented by Rear-Admiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond, when he was in command of the New Zealand naval station, is for competition between Auckland and Navy representative teams.

The rules provide for three matches during the season, the side winning two of the games to win the trophy. The Navy side was successful last season. It was agreed that the first game of the series for the cup should take place at Blandford Park today.
