BETTER TONE

FEILDING STOCK SALE

(By Telegraph—Press Association.;

FEILDING, May 19. A better tone prevailed at the.livestock sale held in Feilding today, prices for fat sheep as well as for store cattle appreciating slightly. For ewes and wethers prices were hardly above recent rates. Run cattle came forward in good numbers and sales took place more freely than last week, though there was no increase in prices. For store cattle, prices were unchanged; dairy cattle sold well. There was a fair demand for beef, with the betterquality sorts meeting keener competition. The quality, generally, was better, with most of the entry changing hands.
