COLOUR PARADE
SCOUTS AT SYDNEY
SYDNEY, January 4.
Today's main attraction at thfc Scouts' camp was a colour parade ia commemoration of International Day comprising displays by Scouts from Noumea, . New Zealand, Queensland, and, New South Wales. Thunder showers marred the proceedings.
• The Consuls of France and the United States were entertained at luncheon, at which a cablegram conveying greetings from the. Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Powell, was read .and cheered. '
Later 600 New Zealand Scouts, mass* ed in formation, presented Maori hakas and .'demonstrated a Maori canoe song. Local troops participated vi physical d,rill with staves and gave a life-saving demonstration. Thousands of spectators were present. _.' ■ .
