SPIRIT OF EMPIRE AMONG

STUDENTS

LONDON, January 4,

A plan for the construction of a "Youth City" in London, preferably on the site of the old Crystal Palace, as a central meeting place for the Empire's, youth, was outlined today by Lord Bessborough at a headmasters' conference at the Guildhall. ■ The movement is primarily designed to

evoke a spirit of Empire and co-opera-tion, among students and ex-students of secondary school age.

A committee has been formed comprising former Governors-General, including Lord Bledisloe for New Zealand; Lord Stonehaven for Australia, and Lord Bessborough for Canada. Lord Lloyd represents Britain.
