PRISON CAMP ESCAPE
SECOND IN THREE WEEKS
No news had been received in Wellington by this afternoon of the capture of Robert Clarence Clarke, a labouYer, aged 19, who, for the second time within three weeks, has escaped from the prison camp at Rangipo, near Tokaanu. He has been at large since between Sunday night and early Monday morning- Clarke's previous escape -was on December. 15, but he was recaptured the following day in dense bush some miles from the camp. The escaped man is sft Bin in height and is strongly built. He has a fair complexion, brown curly hair, a scar under the left eye, and the tip of his right forefinger is missing.
One of the great tree trunksfolding up the roof of York Guildhall + has been found to be hollow and is to be replaced by the trunk of a tree from the •outh of England.
