COMING TALKS
'A visitor to Wellington next week will be the Right. Hon. Lord Strabolgi, better known as Lieutenant-Comman-der J. N. M. Kenworthy, R.N. Lord Strabolgi iserved in the navy from 1002 to the end of the war and was a,member of the House of Commons forsome years, first as a Liberal, and then as a; member of the Labour Party. He is now a member of the party in the House of Lords. He' has written several books. The National Broadcasting Service hopes to broadcast a talk by Lord_ Strabolgi from 2YA on Monday evening next.
Under the title of "Just Hats," at 2YA this evening, Major F. H. Lampen will broadcast some musings and experiences. Major Lampen has had a varied career as a soldier, and he ovill describe in this talk some of the many hats, civilian and military, that he has worn since he was a small boy, from England to India, and then in New Zealand. ' . ,
The growth of the library system in England will be described in a recorded talk at 2YA tomorrow evening by Sir Percy Meadon, Director of Education in Lancaster. Sir Percy Meadon was one of the members of the New Education Fellowship that visited New Zealand. ,
The series of talks by Mr. Leon Gotz on his experiences as a planter in Malaya have attracted wide attention by their bright presentation of natural history and curious happenings. The second series of recorded talks is to commence at 2YA next Monday evening. *
A recent visitor to New Zealand was Professor Alexander Findlay, Professor of Chemistry in.the University of Aberdeen. When in New Zealand he made two recorded talks/and the ftrst of tftese, /'Chemistry in- Health and Disease," is to be given next Tuesday evening from station 3YA. ; <
Mrs, Lola Maries, whose.racy talks on London life have been much appreciated, is to speak at 4YA on Tuesday evening next on "Off the Beaten Track in London." ;
