DOMINION TOURNEY

A NOTABLE EVENT

The Dominion annual tourney, which begins on Monday at Auckland with the singles competition, to be followed by the pairs and "fours championships, will be the most notable gathering of bowlers yet held in New Zealand. There is a record entry, of 1000 competitors for the respective championships, and many leading players will be present, in addition to those who attend mainly to renew old friendships and make new ones and perhaps win a few games. An Australian rink will compete, and the English singles champion, Keith I. Cross, and his father, C. P. Cross, who also has a good English playing record, will attend. As 75 players will go from Wellington, a good deal of local interest will be ta^en.in the competitions. ••
