FLAG STILL FLIES

The flag is still flying on the Town Hall in announcement that the stipulated period of freedom from motor fatalities in Wellington, up till January 4, has expired without the necessity of pulling it down. There have been some narrow escapes from fatalities, but Fortune was kind to the victims of collisions which occurred during the period. It is a fine record of road safety for the city, particularly as the holiday traffic was heavy.
