BRITISH POLITICS

NEW GROUP TO ASSIST GOVERNMENT

LONDON, January 3,

"The Times" says that members of all parties have been invited to a meeting which is being held in London tonight with the object of forming a new political group. The organisers are said to include a member of the House of Commons, Mr. Duncan Sandys, and Mr. Randolph Churchill.

It is claimed that the object of the group is not to embarrass the Government but to secure greater national unity, and eventually to help the National Government to enjoy even wider support than at present.
