(British Official Wireless.) I RUGBY, January 2. The King has approved the appointment of Sir Percy Loraine, Ambassador at Angora, to be Ambassador at Rome in succession to. Lord Perth, who retires in April. Sir Percy Loraine was appointed to Angora in 1933. He succeeded Sir George Russell Clark there. He was Minister at Teheran in 1921-25, and at Athens in 1925-29, and then High Commissioner for Egypt and the Sudan up to the time he went to Turkey.
