SECRET MARRIAGE
DOYLE ON HONEYMOON
(Received January 4, 9.30 a.m.) ENSENADA (Mexico), January 3. The Irish boxer Jack Doyle, is honeymooning with the Mexican movie star Movita, whom he married secretly elsewhere. Jack Doyle's affairs of the heart have gained him much newspaper notice in the past year. Fifteen months ago the actress Judith. Allen filed a suit of damages totalling 2,000,000 dollars against Mrs. Delphine Dodge Godde, alleging alienation of the affections of Doyle whom Mrs. Godde was declared to have "persuaded, enticed, and abducted" ny offering him several hundreds of thousands of dollars, and also by means of valuable gifts. Last October Doyle was arrested in Los Angeles on a charge of illegal entry of the United States, on the ground that he supplied false information when applying for a visa. Doyle had previously fought in London where he rushed at his opponent, Eddie Phillips, hit a post, and knocked himself out. On his arrival back in New York he found that Mrs. Godde had repudiated their romance, referring to him as "that Doyle person." Later he was supposed to be wooing a corn-plaster heiress and in the Midnight Sun night club he was punched by Eleanor Troy, a "strip ! tease" artist. He then ' announced that he was flying to Hollywood to meet an ale heiress who was going to Reno to seek a divorce. He was released on bail of 1000 dollars and ordered to be deported, being given until January 13 to leave the country.
