NOT TILL APRIL

CZECH AND BRITISH VISAS

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 2. Reports that, as from yesterday, visas became necessary for travellers from Czechoslovakia visiting Britain and vice versa are inaccurate.

With a view to the control of refugees arriving at British ports and seeking admission to Britain and in order to obviate unnecessary disappointments in the interests of the refugees themselves, the British Government found it necessary to denounce the' 1930 agreement with Czechoslovakia abolishing visa requirements, but the denunciation does not become effective till April 1.
