Herr Hitler, in a New Year proclamation, defines Germany's tasks! for, 1939 as, firstly, the continued education of the people for unity; secondly, further strengthening of tha armed forces; thirdly, further exten- ; sion pf the four-year plan. He describes 1938 as "the richest har- .; vest year in German history," - XtasxX which he thanks the German people; whose unity helped towards solyinj < without war ■■■ a European problem y which had to* be solved some time and in some way. , — xA'-X "As far as foreign politics are concerned," says Herr Hitler, "Germany's place is determined and fixed.
