CUSTOMS RETURNS
INCREASES AT AUCKLAND
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) -AUCKLAND, January 2. An expansion in most avenues of revenue collected by 'the Customs Department in Auckland was recorded last year. The total amount received from all sources was £4,498,337. an increase of £236,987 over the figure toy 1937, which, in turn, showed an increase of over £400,000 over the returns for 1936. Collections for 1938, as compared with 1937, are shown in the following table:— „„_ '■ 1938. 193 T.
