January 21 is the date fixed by the North Island inter-house carnival com--1 'mittee for the holding of the North Island business girls' inter-house championships at McLean Park, Napier. Invitations have been sent to the winners of the carnivals at Lower Hutt, Masterton, Dannevirke, Hastings, Gis- ; borne, Hawera, and Palmerston North. Entries close on January 7. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) has been invited, and it is hoped that he may attend during the course of a tour he is expected to make this month. \
