Miss Jean Cerchi.
December 14. A Wellington girl, Miss Jean Cerchi. won the vocal section, receiving a prize of £100. The winners were selected by public vote in conjunction with three judges. There were 1200 competitors. Miss Cerchi won by a margin of 300 votes from Miss Peggy Gobert.
