WANGANUI TOURNAMENT

WANGANUI, December 29
Engerbretsen's rink won the final of the Wanganui Bowling Centre's Christmas tournament, which was played on the St. John's Club green today :in ideal conditions. Some closely-contested games made the postsection play interesting. The results were:—
First Round.—Cade, Young, A. D. Tilley. H. F. Tilley (Wanganui) ,20; O'Meare, Cooke, Jackson, Boyd .(Wanganui), 21. Gordon Doolan, Glad' stone, Engerbretsen (Wanganui). 25; Blythe, Wilson, G. A. Brown, Lowe (Wanganui), 13. B. Armstrong, Dearsley, Ormsby, W. Harris (St John's), 26: Lee, Huriwick, Thurstbn, Mailman (Gonville), 19. J. Healey, a bye. Second Round.—Boyd' ll;-Engerbret-sen 26; Harris 16, Piper. J. Smith. Hampton. J. Healey (Gonville), 13. Final. —Engerbretsen 23, Harris 13.
(Christchurch); N. R. Meads (Nelson) beat W. R. Aislabie (Napier).
