SERIOUSLY HURT
FORTY-FOOT FALL THROUGH A ROOF (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 29. Falling 40 feet from the top of a chimney at the Steel Construction Company's works, Portage Road, New I Lynn, Louis Charles Chaillet, married, aged 31, of Bank Street, Mount Wellington received serious injuries. Chaillet was working on the chimney. He fell 30 feet' to the iron roof of a building, and crashing through fell a further 10 feet to the ground. He struck his head on a girder of the building. He was attended to by a doctor and sent to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is serious.
