ATTRACTIONS TO REMAIN
The advantages of a motor camp to a city are well illustrated in. the patronage accorded Western Springs at Auckland The "New Zealand Herald" reports that for the ten days up to and covering Christmas Day and Boxing Day the arrivals had far exceeded the t6tal for the corresponding period last year, which was itseli a record since the opening of the camp. The fact is the more impressive when the boisterous weather this year is taken into account. Over 1600 people, comprising about 400 parties, were in residence at the camp after Boxing Day. The influx began* about a week before, and by Christmas Eve the camp population exceeded 500, divided into about 130 parties. : Tents, caravans, motor-cars, and trailers were to be seen in every direction at the camp.
