Earl Colossus, engaged in the Champion Hack Handicap at Tauherenikau tomorrow, has contested the race the last two years. At. his first attempt he was beaten only a short head by Helen Ford, but last year he failed to finish near the money. His form has been conststent this season, including wins at Masterton and Feildinf over 1 mile and 14 miles respectively, and though he lapsed a bit. at Manawatu last weekend he might come up. again to take the Wairarapa prize in his third assault on the stake.
