SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS

PA'LMERSTON N., This Day

The annual conference of the North New Zealand area of the Seventh Day Adventist Church is being held here. The delegates are encamped at the showgrounds.

In presenting the report, Mr. R. E. G. Blair, the secretary, .referred to the progress of the Church in. the North Island. He said that 52 persons were actively engaged in full-time service. The membership vas 1941. The average yearly increase was 97 over the last five years. During the nine months ended September 30 100 persons^ were accepted in membership and the number had considerably been increased since then, Twenty-one church buildings had been erected in the area and two church school buildings. Many new buildings for expansion work were contemplated.,

The treasurer's statement showed receipts for nine months of £11,179. an increase of £621. During the same period £6924 were contributed towards mission work. The credit balances were £9285, indicating the strong position of the Church.
