SPEEDY NEW PLANES
CONSTRUCTION IN BRITAIN
LONDON, December 28.
The aviation writer of the "Daily Telegraph" says that three airliners are being constructed by Short Brothers, two of which are intended to operate at 10,000 feet with 18 passengers and 3000 pounds of mail, at a cruising speed of 250 miles an hour. The third* plane is designed for stratosphere flying. It is expected to have a top speed of 300 miles an hour. All the planes will have a normal range of 3000 miies. *
