Helen Hayes, the talented American actress who has7 made but few excursions into films, is in private the wife of Charles McArthur, a playwright; they have a little daughter. The Mac Arthurs are a natural, pleasant couple; their love for the stage is innate. Miss Hayes refuses to consider making any more films until the right story comes along. Her work as the Queen in "Victoria Regina' throughout the United States, has been hailed as the outstanding bit of acting in the history of the American theatre The play has had an astounding run, and American audiences seemed never to tire of the fascinating story of the love of England's Queen for Albert, her consort.
