WOMEN'S CRICKET
WELLINGTON V. CANTERBURY
The first interprovincial women's cricket match in Wellington this year, between Wellington and Canterbury, for the Hallyburton-Johnstone Shield, will start at the Basin Reserve at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Play will continue on Saturday The wicket and outfield are in excellent order at the moment ano cricket of a high standard will be witnessed The Canterbury team, which arrived in Wellington this morning, is as follows:—
R. Martin (captain), J. Webster, S Cawtheray P. Farquahar. P. Taylor. J. Russell, M. Phillips, D. Preece, M Preece. H. Watson. M. Marks, P. Blackler.
The Wellington side is:— I. Pickering (captain), H. Buck, E. Daniells, D. Hatcher. L. Harris, MSimpson. J. Stenberg. P Pilcher, \. Ell. G Holmes. E. Page. N Sheridan will be the reserve.
Times of play are:—Tomorrow: I p.m. to 3.45 p.m.; 4 p.m. to 6.30, p.m. Saturday: 11 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.; 2 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
