THE VEGETABLE GARDEN
Continue to sow for succession french beans, peas, lettuces, and radishes.
Keep all growing crops free from weeds and water when necessary. Necessary thinning is best done while the seedlings are quite small and less disturbance to the plants left will occur if the operation is performed while the ground is moist
Attend to the tying of tomatoes, occur during damp, warm weather, to use.
Spray for blight which is liable to Bordeaux mixture is the spray
As soon as pumpkins and marrows start to run pinch out the point to encourage side growths, as \it is on these that most of the fruit is borne. Plant leeks and celery in properly prepared soil. Both these crops require rich soil and plenty of moisture.
