The President's eldest son and secretary, Mr. James Roosevelt, has been appointed vice-president of Samuel Goldwyn Productions. He is the first member of a White House family ever

to enter the show business.

He is reported to be receiving 50,000 dollars a year. He explained: "For a long time I have contemplated joining an industry in which relations with the public will be an outstanding feature."
