"Evening Post" Photo. Heavy seas yesterday pounded the coastline with a southerly aspect as a result of the gale. Breaker Bay, seen in the top picture, received the full force of the rolling seas, which presented an imposing sight as they roared along the beach all day. Below, a more distant view of the coast in the vicinity of Rongotai Aerodrome. The small building on the right contains the wind-gauge, which registered wind at a speed of 89 m.p.h. at one time.

The Diet or Parliamentary Buildings at Tokio, a magnificent block which was completed only two years ago, Tokio, the third greatest city in the world in population, was partially destroyed in the disastrous earthquake of September 1, 1923, and, many new buildings have replaced those destroyed.
