ENGAGED AT WOODVILLE

More than average interest will centre in the Bolton Memorial. Handicap, the chief event on the first day. of the Woodville Jockey Club's Summer Meeting next Saturday, by reason of the fact that the entries include no less than six horses who are engaged in the Auckland Cup. They are The Buzzer, The Bigot, Wqtan, Arctic King, Happy Landing, and Tidewaiter. Again in the open sprint, the Oete Handicap, Quadroon and Padishah are down to compete. It is some years since such a representative lot of stayers have been nominated for a provincial meeting.

The first of the progeny of the Arausio mare Golden Chant,"the Lackham two-year-old Cheetah, closely resembles his dam in colour and conformation. He showed some speed for a few furlongs at Feilding recently.
