AUCKLAND PROGRAMME

The Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting will be held at Alexandra Park on December 27, 29, and 31, and an excellent programme has been drawn up. The Auckland Cup, of £1000 (including a gold cup value £50), two miles, limit 4.31, to be run on the first day. is the chief event, and the Grandstand Handicap, of £300, one mile and a half, limit 3.28, and the Rowe Memorial Handicap, of -£300 (for trotters), two miles, limit 4.51, are next in importance. On the second day the Champion Handicap, of £600, one mile and a half, limit 3.23, the Summer Handicap, of £300, one mile and a quarter, limit 2.52, and the Ranfurly Handicap, of £300, one mile and a quarter, limit 2.47, are the principal races. On the concluding day the President's Handicap, of £600, two miles, limit 4.31; the Bledisloe Handicap, of £300, one mile and a half, limit 3.28; and the Premier Handicap, of £300, one mile and\ a quarter, limit 2.47, are the best endowed. The committee reserves the right to divide the December Handicap if it deems it necessary, and .run the first division on the first day 'and the second division on the second day. Nominations for all events close with the secretary, Mr. A. G. Mabee, at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 12.
