RECEPTION AT PALMERSTON NORTH

PALMERSTON N., This Day
The Road Safety Week procession sponsored by the Transport Department arrived this morning. It made a circuit of the city schools and later assembled in the Square, where a welcome was given by the Mayor (Mr. Mansford) and the chairman of the Kairanga County Council (Mr. Collis), who delivered appropriate addresses. The vehicles afterwards left for Hawke's Bay.
The procession aroused keen public interest.
