DAMAGE IN THE SOUTH
The worst of the s/corm was experienced in the South Island. Dunedin had the worst storm l of its kind for many years, and serious damage resulted. Very heavjy rain in South Canterbury on Satunday caused flooding and slips and J.he Timaru water supply was interfeued with by slips which damaged the water-race which leads from the Paraora River dam to the reservoir near Uhe town.
