SPECTACULAR FIGHT
PLANES OVER VALENCIA

MADRID, December 4
Thousands of people watched a halfhour f/^ctacular battle over Valencia this morning against 26 Italian and German bombers, who tried to fly over the city. Ten Government planes met the raiders on the outskirts of the city and drove them off after 250 bombs had been dropped in the port area and coastal villages, killing 19 civilians.
