A sequel to a confidence trick by which Maurice O'Connor, 34, jdefrauded another man of £120 by representing that he was a racehorse owner and trainer and that he was driving Royal Romance at the Forbury Park trots was O'Connor's appearance in the Supreme Court for sentence on. a charge of obtaining money by false pretences. Warning the accused that he was qualifying to be declared a habitual criminal, Mr. Justice Kennedy sentenced him «to a year and nine month!' imprisonment.
