COMMUNISTS HOWLED DOWN

SYDNEY, December 2

The opening of the Federal Government's recruiting rally in Martin Place during the city lunch hour today was marked by angry scenes in which leading Communists figured while distributing their own handbills, which the majority of the crowd regarded as offensive.
