SYDNEY, This Day,
Th cyclist Hubert Opperman broke the world road cycling record of 1000 miles between Adelaide and Sydney by seven hours, his riding time being 63 hours 37£ minutes. He also lowered the Adelaide-Sydney record by 13 hours 30 minutes.
