PARTY AT LYCEUM CLUB

The lounge of the Lyceun Club was well filled recently when, at the invitation of Mrs. Sample, leader of the play reading circle, Mrs. Cruttenden put on the old but ever hew scenes from Dickens, to an appreciative audience." The final scene, "Dreamland" was particularly inspiring, as each member of the company of fifteen representing sbme Dickens character, ending up with "Old Scrooge," glided across the stage into the part. Christmas carols were heard in the distance. A few modern sketches and vocal and musical items were also appreciated. Those who took part were Mrs. Wilfer, Mrs. Brown, Miss Marshall, Miss Page, Mrs. Bourdot, Miss M. Brown, Misses Dolores and Freda Harris, Mrs. Shakes, Mr. and Mrs. Hartill, Mr. Page, Mr. Rutherford, and Mrs. K. Conner, Mr. Val Jones..

The accompanists were Mrs. )Vakelin, Mrs. A. H. Buchanan, and Mrs. Cruttenden.

A hearty vote of thanks was given to Mrs. Cruttenden and her; friends, and also to the others who had given such good entertainment. Supper was enjoyed.
