Mrs. John Slomam, Auckland, is visiting Wellington and will be the guest of Mrs. A. J. Curtis, Tinakori Road, for the next three weeks. '

Mrs. Charles W. Mack and Miss Claire Mack, who has bedn touring Great Britain and the Continent, arrived yesterday by the Akaroa.

Mrs. O. T. J. Alpers, Fendalton, who has been on an extended visit to Great Britain, will leave London tomorrow on her return journey to New Zealand. ,T ''

Miss Phyllis Graham (Auckland) will arrive in Wellington on Sunday, en route for South Africa; She will spend a few days with her mother, Mrs. Hugh McGill, Eastbourne. Miss Graham is one of the 20 nurses leaving New Zealand to take positions in a private hospital in Johannesburg.

Madame Winnie Fraser ' (Dunedin) left London recently for Oxford, writes "The Post's" correspondent in London. She has decided to winter in Paris, where she will bo for six months. When spring arrives she hopes to go to Sicily.

Mrs. Henry F. Fox, Tinakori Road, left by Thursday evening's express steamer for a visit to her parents in Christchurch.

Professor and Mrs. A. H. Tocker, Fendalton, Christchurch, will 'spend Christmas with Mrs. Tocker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Sievwright, Wellington, and will then go to Taupo for a few weeks.

Miss Ruth Pease, Hawera, has returned home after nine months' tour of the British Isles and the Continent.

Miss Jean Laurenson (Wellington), has left on an eight-days' journey across France and Italy to join the Orama at Naples, on her way back to New Zealand, states our London fcorrespondent. She expects to reach Wellington, after a short stay in Australia, on December 23. Miss Laurenson paid an enjoyable visit to Glasgow, Shetland Isles, and North Wales, in addition to seeing much of London.

Miss Anne Bright, Wellington, is spending the university vacation with her mother, Mrs. W. J. Bright, Hawera. .

Miss C. McMaster, Masterton, is visiting Wellington.

Miss Marjorie Curlett, Hastings, travelled from London to Sydney by the Strathn'avcr recently, and will arrive at Wellington by the Awatea on December 12. She will -stay at the Midland Hotel.. ■ .
