In the semi-finals of the men*g doubles at the New South Wales tennis championships, Hopman and Schwartz beat McGrath and Crawford, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, and Quist and Bromwich beat Harper and Long, 6-2, 9-7, 6-1.
