KHANDALLAH SHOW
SUCCESSFUL DISPLAY
Ihe Onslow Horticultural Society's rose show held recently in the Public Hall, Khandallali, was an outstanding success. The quality of the blooms exhibited was of very high standard. The cut flowers and pansy and viola classes were well filled and reflected Kreat credit on the exhibitors, as did also the decorative classes. The judges were Mr J. G. McKenzie (flowers), and Mrs. H. G Bennett (ladies' decorative). The champion rose was exhibited by Mr. F. IC. Porteous The following is the prize list:— Roses.—Mr. K. M. Porteous, 3 firsts, 1 second; Mr. t\ K. Porteous, 2 firsts, 2 *■ seconds; Mr. R. S. Hirschberg, 1 first, 1 second, 3 thirds. Intermediate section: Mrs. Max Plimmer, 3 firsts, 1 third; Mr. O. Giddall, 1 first, 3 seconds.
Pansies and Violas. —Mr. J. S. Vickers, 12 firsts, 6 seconds, 1 third; Mrs. Hudson, 2 firsts, 2 seconds; Mr. K. Newport, 1 first, 2 seconds, 1 third; Mrs. H. Birley, 1 first.
