RELIGIOUS SERVICES. LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH (God willing), "I 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET (opp. ■*-• Paramount, Courtenay Place), SUNDAY, at 7 p.m. Subject: CHRIST'S PROMISE TO THE TWELVE APOSTLES. "THEN ANSWERED PETER AND SAID UNTO HOI (JESUS), BEHOLD, WE HAVE FORSAKEN ALL, AND FOLLOWED THEE; WHAT SHALL WE HAVE THEREFORE? AND JESUS SAID UNTO | THEM, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, < THAT YE WHICH HAVE FOLi LOWED ME, IN THE REGENERATION WHEN THE SON OF MAN i SHALL SIT IN THE THRONE OF HIS GLORY', Y rE ALSO SHALL SIT UPON TWELVE THRONES JUDGING THE TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL." (Matt. 19:27-28). The object of this lecture is to show from the Scriptures that a fulfilment of Christ's promise to His Apostles will involve 1. The personal return of Christ to set j up the Kingdom of God on carth — j this coming Millennial age being appropriately styled by Christ "THE REGENERATION." (Matt. 23:39, Acts 1:11, Acts 3:19-21, 2 Tim. 4:1, Rev. 11:15, Matt. 6:10, Psa. 72, Isa. 11). 2. The restoration of the throne of David in Jerusalem—this being the throne from which Christ will reign, i.e., "the throne of His glory." (Luke 1:32, Eze. 21:27, Amos. 9:11, Acts 2:30, 1 Chr. 17: 11-14, Psa. 132:11, Isa. 9:6-7, Jer. 23:5, Jer. 33:15, Isa. 24:23, Jer. 3:17, Zech. 2:12, Matt. 25:31). ♦ 3. The '"resurrection from among the dead" of the twelve Apostles in order that they may "in the regeneration" "sit upon twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." (Acts 24:15, Dan. 12:2, Isa. 26:19, Rev. 11:18, 1 Cor. 15:12-18, 1 Cor. 15:52, Rev. 20:6). 4. The restoration of<. f "tlie twelve tribes of Israel" (now scattered abroad among the nations of the earth) to their own land Palestine where under the rulership of Jesus Christ and the twelve Apostles they will "in the regeneration" be the mightiest nation upon earth. (Isa. 11:12, Jer. 30:3, Jer. 31:10, Eze. 20:33-44. Eze. 28:25-26, Eze, 37:21-22. Eze. 48:29, Matt. 2:6, Micah 4:6-7, Zeph. 3:19, Jer. 30:10). N.B. —Those who, like the Apostles, "forsake all" and follow Christ (by believing His teaching and obeying His commands) are likewise promised rulership in the coming Kingdom of God upon earth. (Matt. 19:29, Mark 10:29-30, Luke 18:29-30, Rev. 20:6. Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 2: 26, 1 Cor. 6:2, Luke 19:17, 2 Tim. 2:12, Luke 13:28, Matt. 25:34). Questions invited. No collection.
