LONDON, December I

The Fylde by-election held owing to the death of Lord Stanley resulted as follows: —

Captain G. G. Lancaster (Con.) 38,263 Dr. Mabel Tyleycoat (Labour) 17,648

At the 1935 General Election Lord Stanley polled 39,731 votes and Mr. T. McNamee (Labour) 16,379.
