SHIPS RELEASED

BRITISH CARGOES ABOARD

(British Official Wireless.) (Received December 2, 1 p.m.)

RUGBY, December 1

The Prime Minister announced in the House of Commons that two Greek ships under charter to the British Government and carrying cargoes of Rumanian wheat which were seized and taken into Palma Bay by Spanish nationalist naval forces have been released and will sail tomorrow.

Mr. Chamberlain added that the British Government is still in communication with General Franco about other ships with British cargoes which have been seized.

Mr. Chamberlain also told the House that he had seen statements that Germany was in the process of mobilising three army corps, but the British Government had no confirmation of these reports.
