MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., presided over a sitting of the Magistrate's Court today.

Ronald George Piaggi, who was charged with wilfully damaging a glass sign, valued at £1 10s, the property of Menelds Kathistides. was convicted and ordered to pay witness's expenses. It was stated, that he had paid for the damage.

Walter Ernest Taylor was fined £1 and costs for behaving in 'a disorderly manner.

For using indecent language in a public place, Albert Cecil Cairncrogs was fined £2 and costs, in default seven days' imprisonment.

Thomas Arthur Candy was fined £5 and costs for selling liquor after hours, being a licensee. Thomas Harkness Johnstone was fined a similar amount for supplying liquor, being other than the licensee.
