DEMAND SUBSIDES

(Heceived December 2, 1 p.m.) LONDON, December 1. At the wool sales today, 9704 bales were offered, including 4112 New Zealand, and 7919 were sold. A fairly good selection was submitted, but the demand had somewhat subsided and was confined chiefly to the Home trade. Prices generally were at par to 5 per cent, lower as compared with rates at the close of the last series.
